I wish we could all see our families over 60 years

The @NewYorker shared this article that chronicles 60 years of photographs by Lee Friedlander of his wife, Maria, starting from their marriage in 1958 to now. It’s the journey we are all on, of course, but how many of us ever get to see time pass in this way? It’s stunning. And sobering. For all of the days when time seems to be endless and slow, this collection of photographs makes one thing crystal clear: each moment will pass and we will, inevitably grow older. (Mind you, Maria remains beautiful as she ages, so her journey is lovely to behold.)
